Who is our group for?
SALT welcomes all young adult men and women in our community, from 18 to 39 years of age, to come together to share and grow in the Catholic faith.
How did our group get started?
Many of us came together for the first time at the celebration of our beautiful, new Holy Rosary Church. Working together made us realize how we truly enjoyed sharing our faith in Christ with one another. As a result, we decided to start a young adult group at Holy Rosary Church, so that all young adults in our community can share and grow in our amazing Catholic faith.
Why are we called SALT?
We were inspired by Matthew 5:13-16 which is the Similes of Salt and Light. This bible passage sends a very powerful message that through their deeds the disciples are to influence the world for good. They can no more escape notice than a city set on a mountain. If they fail in good works, they are as useless as flavorless salt or as a lamp whose light is concealed. Just as salt enhances the flavor of food, we should also enhance the lives of those around us by being a blessing to them.
